Carlos Patiño is a Colombian composer, guitarist, producer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between contemporary composition, cinematic guitar music, Latin American roots, environmental sound, and music production.His music is shaped by landscape, memory, nature, and place. Across concert works, solo guitar projects, audiovisual pieces, ambient music, and songs connected to personal, social, and environmental concerns, his work often explores the relationship between sound, identity, tradition, and the natural world.He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Music Theory and Composition from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. His work spans concert music, interdisciplinary projects, creative research, teaching, music production, and guitar based sound worlds.
